This is the first Snow Bunting that I’ve seen in years. Snow Buntings are a circumpolar species, nesting in the high arctic and wintering at lower latitudes around the globe. This one is in its winter plumage, and was alternating between eating seeds from low growing grasses, and flitting over these rocks.
